Morning Routine

Updated: Aug 6, 2022

It often seems like there’s no time to get anything done in the morning. Whether you have an 8 a.m. class or you don’t have to get up until noon, it’s important to have a daily morning routine to prepare you for a positive and productive day. In the morning, it’s easy to fall into a social media trap. Checking your social media as soon as you wake up in the morning can become a time-consuming habit. There is a healthier way to include your phone habits in your morning routine. According to Bustle’s article 7 habits that are Healthier in the Morning, playing a relaxing game instead of hitting the snooze button can aid in telling your brain to wake up in the morning.

After you’re fully awake, the first thing you should do is drink a glass of water. Drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning jump starts your metabolism, flushes out toxins, and helps you eat less throughout the day. A cup of citrus tea, like this Citrus Lavender by Teavana, can be a great substitute for a glass of water in the morning but make sure to leave out the sugar. While you’re rehydrating, visit your favorite meditation app or video and take around 5 minutes to mentally prepare for your day.

When you’re finally ready to leave the comfort of your bed, there a few products which can help you get started for the rest of your day.

  • This Morning Burst Facial Cleanser by Clean & Clear is the perfect morning cleanser. The citrus scent and vitamin C beads invigorate your tired skin, making you feel energized and awake and brightening your skin.
