Maryland’s Ice Cream Trail is back for summer 2025!
The annual lineup of the best ice cream shops in Maryland also includes nearby hiking trails where you can exercise and work up an appetite.
The state Department of Agriculture started the yearly summer tradition in 2012 as a way to promote the dairy industry. The trail continues through September 1, and there’s a prize up for grabs for those who complete it.
The 2025 list of Maryland’s Best Ice Cream includes 14 shops across the state, with some familiar locations and some new ones:
Broom’s Bloom Dairy in Harford County
Brown Cow Creamery in Carroll County
Chesapeake Bay Farms in Worcester County
Deliteful Dairy in Washington County
Glamourview Creamery in Frederick County
Happy Cow Creamery in Frederick County
Keyes Creamery in Harford County
Lockbriar Farms in Kent County
Misty Meadows Farm Creamery in Washington County
Miller Farms in Prince George’s County
Moo Cow Creamery in Frederick County
Prigle Family Creamery in Baltimore County
Rocky Point Creamery in Frederick County
South Mountain Creamery in Frederick County
The updated 2025 list also comes with a streamlined way to keep track of your progress. Download the Let’s Rally App to check in and compete for the prize.
Those who check in to all the ice cream trail locations by September 1 will be entered to win a $50 creamery gift card, a “Tales of the Dairy Godmother” book, a 2025 Championship Trophy, and a one-year state park pass.
